A water feature is a great addition to any property. It can elevate your outdoor space into an oasis. Water features improve your property’s curb appeal and add character to it. The right water feature can create an environment of peace, solitude and relaxation.

Here are five of our favorite water features you should add to create an oasis of relaxation.

Fountains

A water fountain is a beautiful and timeless water feature, and it adds beauty and elegance to any landscape. The soothing sounds of a fountain can provide a relaxing atmosphere. Consider brightening your fountain with vibrant flowers around its border. Fountain options include a running, bubbling, raining, pouring or cascading water fountain.

Waterfalls

Waterfalls are a popular water feature you can add to enhance your yard. They provide a gorgeous focal point that can add sophistication and serenity to your outdoor space. The sounds of a waterfall are also incredibly relaxing and naturally soothing.

Streams

If you have a larger backyard, consider adding a stream. A stream usually consists of a winding pathway of water that runs through your outdoor space. You can build a stream as an addition to another water feature, and it can be customized to fit any size or shape of your yard.  If you want a more natural look, you can add rocks and plants.

Ponds

A pond can add a lush habitat to your landscape. It can attract wildlife, such as birds, frogs, salamanders, dragonflies, and turtles. Ponds also add a tranquil space to relax. Consider building a rock garden near your pond to give wildlife hiding spaces.

Hot tubs

Hot tubs can be an attractive water feature for your yard. They are built for relaxation and entertaining family and friends. After a long day, a hot tub is the perfect addition to a backyard deck. You can design your hot tub to look like a small pool or pond and even add a water feature to it, like a waterfall. We recommend building a small deck around the hot tub to prevent it from being an eyesore.

Whatever water feature you choose, we can help you incorporate it into your landscape.
